GP07N Thermal Spray Tungsten Carbide Powder

The GP07N is a high-performance Tungsten Carbide (WC) Thermal Spray Powder designed for demanding coating applications. Composed of 73% Tungsten Carbide, 20% Chromium Carbide (Cr3C2), and 7% Nickel (Ni), this powder is engineered for use with High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) and High Velocity Air Fuel (HVAF) systems, offering superior oxidation resistance compared to WC-Co coatings.

With a particle size of 15-45 microns and a spherical shape from agglomerated and sintered processing, GP07N excels in creating dense, durable coatings with enhanced hardness (1000-1400 HV0.3), low porosity (<1%), and strong bonding strength (≥70 MPa). These coatings are ideal for high-wear applications, providing excellent resistance to fretting, abrasion, particle erosion, and corrosion, and can withstand temperatures up to 750°C.

GP07N’s applications include coatings for gate valves, turbine components (e.g., air seals, baffle dampers, and nozzle supports), as well as hot crushing rolls, forming dies, and forging tools. The material’s durability in harsh conditions makes it suitable for the aerospace, automotive, and marine industries, especially in environments exposed to saltwater and high humidity.
