Cemented roller ring is a tool material with high hardness and good wear resistance. Hardness and wear resistance come from tungsten carbide, while toughness and strength depend on bonded metals. To fully utilize the advantages of high wear resistance, long service life, and high efficiency of cemented roller in high-speed wire rolling, high-speed wire manufacturers need to pay close attention and handle the following matters carefully when purchasing and using cemented roller rings:
1. Correctly select the grade of hard alloy used for each finishing mill frame.
2. Roll ring inlay and upper machine assembly.
The roller ring inlay and machine assembly should strictly follow the precision required by the design process. The roller ring should have a suitable fit with the frame roller shaft and cone shaft sleeve, and should not be too tight or loose. The gap between the of the sleeve roller and the steel sleeve should be appropriate, so that there is a certain gap between the steel sleeve and the roller filled with adhesive. When installing the roller ring sleeve and assembling it on the machine, the assembly surface of the roller, shaft, and sleeve should be wiped clean. It is strictly prohibited to use a hammer or other heavy objects to strike during assembly.
3. Cooling of roll rings during rolling process and cooling water quality
